From small walnuts grow big trees. We have always had a vision which has included growth. As with many other small organisations, you find out more about the value of brand identity and IP (Intellectual Property) as you grow. Unfortunately for us we found out that our name, Parcours, was already being used by an organisation in Europe. So along with our growth strategy for 2014, we felt that this was the best time to rebrand. The name Othella ™ is of Greek origin and means “prosperous”. We feel that promoting supportive environments is essential for business development.

Developing a strong brand identity is one of the core ethos of Othella ™ and we very much look forward to using this forum to connect with our online community. 2014 will see us promoting our series of master classes “Cross Talk”™ which are targeted at increasing productivity for companies and organisations. The prime asset of any organisation is its people. Using our ASK ™ model, we will coach and mentor organisations on how to integrate awareness, skills and knowledge increasing performance.

Communication is vital for all organisations. Globalisation has made cross cultural understanding into a business and the financial return on training is an asset which adds value. Cultural competence helps you to understand how and why people think, act, and do business in the way they do and also what they think of you.

Cultural differences can result in a variety of approaches to business, even when English is used as the common language. Cultural competence training can help you succeed, by raising awareness of:
How people from other cultures think, behave, and approach business.
Effective Intercultural working is learned over a period of time through experience and reflection.

It develops a greater potential for local business growth and builds a more productive workforce.
